PRIVACY AWARENESS TRAINING PROGRAM
This 15-minute highly-interactive training course provides a basic high-level introduction to privacy — why privacy matters and what to do to protect it. The course consists of the following chapters, which are also available each as a stand-alone course:
Nothing to Hide? Why Privacy Matters – discusses what privacy is and why it is worth protecting. The course takes on the common argument that privacy doesn’t matter if people have nothing to hide.
What is Personal Data? – explains how to identify and define personal data or personally identifiable information (PII).
Privacy Principles – focuses on what protecting people’s privacy entails. It provides an overview of the basic Fair Information Practice Principles and explains why they matter.
This privacy training course uses humor and interesting visuals to bring the material alive.
