This course (~12 mins) provides a brief introduction to the Brazil’s general data protection law, the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais (LGPD). The LGPD was passed in 2018 and received final approval in 2019.
The course discusses the scope and applicability of the LGPD, the basic terminology of the law, the individual rights it provides , and the responsibilities it imposes on organizations. Here is an outline of the program:
